Thinking of In Vitro again but this is the last time

I always knew I wanted more than one child.  I called Martin at work and asked him what he thought about doing In Vitro again.  He was happy and I was thinking since I'm pushing 35 we might want to start trying.  

I find the best Infertility specialist in the Northwest and we go to him.  My son is 4 mths old and I make my first appointment.  I told the Doctor this was the last time I was doing this; since this was going to be my 3rd cycle and I better get a baby out of this.

Well we started injections, blood draws and ultra sounds in October of 2002.  I told the doctor to put three embryos back just to make sure.  When all was said and done the Lab said they never saw such high quality embryos before.  My doctor said he would only put two back.  I said one better stick.  

Well we are waiting for our results I knew I was pregnant before the test because I'm feeling really sick and fatigued. 


We go in for the blood test and my HCG level is pretty high.  That is a clear sign there could be more than one baby.  So we have to wait and see if my levels are still rising and we went back and they almost tripled.  I knew I was pregnant with twins!  We had our Ultra Sound and sure enough there were two heart beats.


At 8 weeks of pregnancy we get released to the Peri-Natologist.  They asked us if we were going to make a habit out of this and do this every year.  We giggled and said maybe.
