I had my children over this past weekend and my 6 year old daughter told me she wanted to be in an earthquake and get hurt and die. Martin doesn't think the children have any issues with all that has gone on and I want him to agree to counseling for my daughter.

I'm so sorry that you are going through this Gina. How are the other kids doing? It's so hard to watch our kids hurt and feel helpless to know how to fix the situation.
ReplyDeleteWhen a marriage begins to unravel, it's always the kids who hurt the most. It's painful to watch brokeness and insecurities start to settle into their lives and be powerless to put everything back together.
I know that God can put things back together and heal you and your children. You will never be the same again... you will be stronger, have deeper character and grace. You will become a beautiful creation... unique and exquisite. The hard things in life can change us for the better.. if we let God have the situation and our lives. Trust him with every broken piece. He is not a God of chaos but order. He is not a God of fear but love. He is not a God of condemnation and chains but conviction and enlightenment. He wants us to walk in freedom, to have peace, joy and an abundant life. He is in the business of restoration... and it's his specialty. He has dreams and plans for you and your children that you can't begin to imagine. Don't give in to the lies of the enemy, let the Holy Spirit give you grace, empowerment and purpose.
